Day trip to GCNP

We didn't originally plan on staying another night in Flagstaff, but here we are again because we spent more time than we thought we would at Grand Canyon National Park (GCNP). That is one of the great things about this trip. We just go with the flow and if plans change than o.k. Another great thing about this trip is getting to hang out with friends along the way. Tonight I got a chance to hang out with a friend I haven't seen in awhile. Thanks to Brian for showing me a good Pizza place. Another cool thing about this trip is seeing and doing all these wonderful things with my awesome family. The kids have been pretty good so far and Michelle has been amazing as usual.

I heard it on the wind

GCNP was pretty neat. We started off by getting the Junior Ranger booklets for the kids, then we rode the bus a little ways. After a bus ride to Hermits Rest we did a little hike and worked on Ranger booklets. We listened to the wind and the birds and saw Helicopters flying in the distance. We went to a Ranger talk about Rails, Trails, and Tall Tails. The Kids completed enough of the book to get sworn in as yet another Junior Ranger. I think they are up to 8 total so far over the last few years. 3 so far on this trip. There were a lot of people in the park today. Many different languages could be heard. It was a pretty good day. We drove 196 miles today. Our grand total so far is 3642 miles.
