Today has definitely been the shortest driving day of the trip so far. We went a whopping 13 miles. From the Hotel to the Zoo and back. Then to the Grocery Store for dinner and back.
The Zoo was great. We saw lots and lots of animals. The kids had a great time. We saw a couple of Pandas, we rode the skyfari tram, and a double decker bus, we saw the Koalas, Rhinos, and all of the other things at the Zoo. The thing that was the coolest and surprised me the most was seeing a few of the handlers/keepers walking a cheetah through the park on a leash. And that wasn't even the most surprising thing. They were also walking a Dog right next to the Cheetah. After their little walk they put the Cheetah and the Dog in the same enclosure together. Apparently the Dog(s) are Cheetah ambassadors and this is normal to them. It was pretty cool. We also saw a two headed snake that the kids were pretty excited about seeing.
After the Zoo the kids and I went swimming at the Hotel pool. We had a pretty good time. For dinner we went to Vons Grocery store and picked up a bunch of food. We didn't really feel like going out for a dinner.
Tomorrow we are leaving San Diego, but we are not sure where we are headed to. Eventually the Grand Canyon and 4 Corners, then to Guernsey for a couple of days.
