Day 51 How many sign for Waldrug can we see

We left Mitchell this morning with goals of topping at Waldrug in Wall, SD. Then Devils Tower in Wyoming. Plans changed slightly. We did go to Waldrug which I am not entirely sure why, but it is a tourist mecca. I guess people like to flock to crazy attractions when they get bored of being on the road for hours or maybe even days at a time. Anyway this place has all the cheesy crap you can buy any where. It also does have a few cool items that are of some quality and are pricey. But for the most part it is just one of those places where you say, "yep, I've been there."
On the way to Waldrug we thought it would be a fun little game to count how many signs we see for  this wonderful place. We counted 63 signs in about 200 miles.

 

 

Just before you arrive in Wall if you are driving from East to West you come across a cool place call Badlands National Park. It is a pretty cool place. We drove through. took a few pics, and stopped at the visitor center. We didn't spend a lot of time here, but it was a beautiful place to visit. I would have rather spent more time here than ... other places...

It was off to Gillette, WY. We bypassed Devils Tower, but only for the day. We wanted to get to Gillette to see Michelle's Aunt Leta, Uncle Bernie, Cousin Sarah, and her kids. Sora and Nakai had fun playing with them. It was very nice to hang out with them for the evening. The weather is beautiful, The skies were amazing with all of the colors form the sun going down and reflecting off of the clouds.

Tomorrow we are going to backtrack a short bit to go to Devils Tower then on to Montana. Bernie suggested we make our way to Glacier and we probably will take a side trip there, since it will be somewhat close to where we are headed anyway.
