Day 48 Nickelodeon Universe

We started the day off with the kids building another fort.  Then we went next door to Denny's for breakfast because toast just didn't sound very good.  Then we headed back to the Mall of America to go to Nickelodeon Universe.  We started by going straight to the Fairly Odd Parents coaster.  It was a cool coaster.  It takes 4 people in a cart and spins them in a circle on the coaster track.  The kids weren't too sure at first.  Nakai would say "I'm going to die!", but as soon as the ride stopped they would say "That was awesome!"  Sometimes Nakai would say "I hated that."  I would ask him if we would go again and he would say "Yeah, it was kind of fun.  We rode several more rides and each one the kids loved.

Rock Bottom Plunge was the kid's favorite ride.  They rode it 4 or 5 times.  It takes you straight up then down, does a loop and a couple more drops and then back.  We also had some excitement on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles ride.  This ride you can rock your seat from side to side so you can go upside down and its doing a big loop.  Nathan was rocking his chair and going in circles and his keys fell out of his pocket and on top of the Peeps building.  After we got off the ride he went to the closest employee he could find who sent him to guest services which called building maintenance and went to the roof and got the keys for us.  Needless to say after that we took everything out of our pockets before getting on the rides after that.

After riding all the rides once we took a break for an ICEE and Pepsi.  Then Nathan and the kids kept riding.  I have no idea how many total rides they went on, but we got our money's worth.  After a full day of riding rides we went upstairs to eat at Bubba Gump Shrimp.  I love Forest Gump so I thought it was cool, not sure the kids were too excited about it.  But the people were nice and the food was good and the dessert ended up gone.  Then back to the hotel.  The kids were out pretty quick after they finished reading and writing in their journals.  Nathan was also out pretty quickly and is asleep next to me as I write this entry.  Tomorrow I'm sure will be another exciting fun filled day at the Mall of America.  Maybe I will treat myself to a new outfit or a haircut.
