Day 49 MOA again...

After Sora waking us up with her little song it was time to get moving. I took the van to a Midas about 3 miles away to get the oil changed and tires balanced. This time it wasn't for a problem of any kind just a little preventative maintenance. We were a little overdue for these and rather than stranded on the highway somewhere hopefully everything is smooth sailing for the next however many days.

We once again found ourselves back at the Mall of America for the SeaLife adventure. It is an Aquarium at the mall (pretty neat). We decided on doing the behind the scenes tour which was cool. We got to see a little lab area, the "kitchen" and the upper tank area. The upper tank area is also where they "quarantine" new fish, etc. to the Aquarium. The area was above the water looking down into the different pools for the sharks, turtles, fish, etc. The kitchen is where they have the diets of all the different species. It included when they get fed and how much of what item. Some of those items included krill, squid, mackerel, and algae gel (for the tropical fish). The lab area had items like sharks egg sacks, ray tails, and fins from sharks.

After the Aquarium wee headed upstairs to the Maze of mirrors. Nakai loved it. Then it was off to the mini golf. We had a good time. Sora recorded her first hole in one. It was pretty cool.

Michelle had to hit her ball from inside the cave.

Then it was time for a haircut. Both kids have been wanting a new hairdo for the past couple of weeks. We had the time and they had the place. So Nakai was up first and wanted a Mohawk. I have to say that I was a little sad having someone else give him a Mohawk since I have given him one at the start of the previous 2 summers. But, it worked out good, because he got a great new doo that he loves and it is better than mine.
Next Sora got a little trim and a new attitude. Her hair looks nice and the attitude will remain to be seen.

Back to the hotel for some quiet time and figuring on where to go tomorrow. We figured on going to Mitchell, SD. CORN PALACE YAY!. It will be a stopover on our way to Devils Tower.
